Comments

Molybdate is a tyrosine phosphatase inhibitor. Its sodium or ammonium salts are added to the inhibitor cocktails in a working concentration ranging from 1 - 10 mM (e. g. ref. 3). Besides, molybdate is used as a reagent for the demonstration of inorganic phosphate, e. g. released by adenine triphosphatase (1).
