Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), one of the most versatile, quick and accessible techniques in the current chromatography analysis, is the main supplement to control the synthesis reaction evolution.

 

It allows to control when the synthesis reaction is completed. Moreover, it indicates when a compound of interest has been totally isolated from the remaining components of the reaction, during the purification process by column chromatography.
